A CAN Newsletter Celebrating Disability Employment, History, and Awareness

The Family Cafe is happy to share the latest edition of our Change Agent Network newsletter!

This month, we put the focus on two important October celebrations: National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Disability History and Awareness Weeks.

While one is national and the other is statewide, they both offer a chance to begin conversations on how much people with disabilities contribute to our society, economy, and culture, and how we can continue the important work of building more inclusive institutions, businesses, and communities.

Of course one of the most direct ways to make that kind of change is at the ballot box, so we’ve also included a reminder about voting. Florida’s October 5th registration deadline is coming up fast! Get registered of check your status at registertovoteflorida.gov.
