The 2023 FROM Regional Workshop - Orlando

Whether you are an experienced advocate, or have an idea to start a non-profit, you’re inspired to use your lived experience to help others. But you likely have questions too. You may be asking if someone else is engaged in these activities, or if someone else is doing what you imagine.  Perhaps you’re not sure how to go about differentiating your non-profit and developing a unique brand that can become the puzzle piece that you envision fitting into the broader community of non-profits and services in your community. Or maybe you’re wondering how to approach the critical issue of pursuing funding locally, or how to find potential sources of grants on a national level.

If all of those questions leave you feeling a bit overwhelmed, that’s okay! It’s a complex journey to start a non-profit organization, but The Family Run Organization Movement (FROM) is here to help with a day-long, in-person Regional Workshop designed to address each of the above questions in hands-on, tangible detail. 

Please join us for our FROM Regional Workshop on Friday, October 27^th from 10 am – 4 pm at the Rosen Centre Hotel (Ballroom – Signature 2) located at 9840 International Drive in Orlando.

FROM is pleased to bring family-run organization expert John Ferrone to Orlando to lead this Regional Workshop. John will bring this journey to life with scenarios and tools. Participants will have a chance to workshop their own situation, share with and learn from others on the same journey, and leave with a set of tools and clear direction as to next steps.

 By the time you’re finished, you will:

• Know how to define your idea as the unique puzzle piece that it is.
• Be able to research the non-profit landscape in your community and understand how your puzzle piece fits.
• Understand an approach to collaborating with other non-profits.
• Gain the insight to create a roadmap for pursuing funding in your community.
