The Family Café invites you to join us for The 19th Annual Family Café on June 16-18, 2017 in Orlando, Florida! Since 1998, The Annual Family Café has brought Floridians with all types of disabilities together for three days of information, training and networking opportunities each June. With a great range of individual breakout sessions, a packed Exhibit Hall with dozens of vendors, and a series of special events including Keynote speakers and The Governors’ Summit on Disabilities, The Annual Family Café offers families exposure to a range of public and private resources on a grand scale, opportunities to find support by networking with other families, and unprecedented access to policy-making officials.
The Family Café does everything it can to connect its attendees with the resources it offers at the lowest cost possible.
The Annual Family Café remains a free event, with no registration cost for people with disabilities and their families.
Only those attending in a professional capacity are asked to pay a $150 registration fee.
The Family Café is also proud to offer families limited Financial Assistance, which can provide for complimentary accommodations at the host hotel. To apply for assistance, simply note your request on the attached Application Form by marking the “Hotel” option.
Assistance is based on available funding and awarded by lottery.
This year’s 19th Annual Family Café will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, 9801 International Drive. The Family Café has negotiated a special conference rate of $119 per night for rooms in The Family Café block.
To make a reservation, contact the Hyatt Regency Orlando at 1-888-421-1442 and refer to The 19th Annual Family Café.
If you receive Financial Assistance, your room reservation will be made by The Family Café. If you do not receive Financial Assistance, you will be responsible for making your own reservations at the Hyatt Regency Orlando or elsewhere in Orlando. Again, you can contact the hotel reservation line at 1-888-421-1442 to reserve a room in The Family Café block.
The Family Café and its Planning Committee are hard at work planning a fantastic event that is sure to engage you and your family, while providing you with useful information and access to all manner of resources. We hope you can join us this June in Orlando for another serving of Collaboration, Advocacy, Friendship and Empowerment!
Some sessions and activities at The 19th Annual Family Café may be photographed or videotaped. By participating in the Annual Family Café, registrants agree that The Family Café has the right to use their image, likeness, and/or voice, or sound recording taken in connection to The 19th Annual Family Café in all Media.
